Frequently asked questions
How do I book?
Fill out the inquiry form and I’ll get back to you within 48 hours to plan your session. A 25% non-refundable deposit holds your date.
When is the rest due?
I send your final invoice when your gallery is ready, and your gallery goes out as soon as it’s paid.
What happens after I book?
You get my Camera Ready prep guide straight away. It helps you narrow down what you want and go into your shoot feeling prepared.
How long until I get my gallery?
Two weeks from your shoot date.
Can I use the photos anywhere?
Yes. Use them on your website, socials, ads, print, podcast covers, wherever you like. They’re yours to market your business however you want.
Where do you shoot?
Honestly, anywhere. Your space, a studio, outdoors, somewhere completely random. We’ll pick the place that actually looks like your brand.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, you can split your payment with Afterpay. Just ask when you book.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. Your deposit holds a spot on a calendar I keep small on purpose, so once your date is booked, it’s yours and nobody else’s.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens, so you can reschedule up to two times with at least 48 hours’ notice. If we’ve booked a studio for your shoot and the rental can’t be refunded, that fee comes out of your deposit.
Is there a minimum on the retainer?
Yes, three months. The first shoot is where I learn your brand, and by the third, each gallery is building on the last. That’s when the retainer really starts to pay off.
Is branding photography worth it when I’m still growing?
Nearly every client quoted on this site almost didn’t book for the same reason: the investment. Shae was spending hours shooting on her iPhone and deleting most of it. Now she gets more profile views and more people clicking through to book. If money’s tight right now, start with a $197 Brand Strategy Session, and it comes off your shoot when you book within 60 days.
I’m awkward in front of the camera. Is that a problem?
Most of my clients say the same thing before their first shoot. I direct every pose and every angle, so all you have to do is show up. Ashley used to hide behind two-year-old photos, and she left her shoot saying she’d never felt hotter.
Can you photograph my team?
Yes, and I love it. When Sherry decided to make her salon’s team the focus of her page, we started doing regular shoots together. Her team ended up helping plan them and pitching their own ideas.
What if I don’t know what I’d post with my photos?
